Here you go, everyone! The final results of the 2013 Pistol League. Congratulations to the winners!
I would like to rebut the Trenton Editorial from the Trenton Times on the NRA.
The writer of the editorial does not understand the NRA or the school safe guards they are supporting.
If armed security is not safe for our children, why are armed agents always with the President?
We have armed guards in Banks and Malls and armed police in our community because they do prevent crime. Why not protect our children also.
Over 90% of the mass shootings in recent years have been in ‘gun free’ zones. And the shooting only stops when a ‘good guy’ with a gun shows up. (Good guys with guns DO save lives).
The NRA has many programs that support firearm safety. They train instructors in all types of shooting disciplines’ and safety in the home. The Eddie Eagle program teaches, “If you see a gun, DON’T TOUCH, LEAVE THE AREA, tell an adult.” They also have NRA day for clubs to show anyone interested in the shooting sports the safe and proper way to do it. Anyone attending is given a gun safety course before they go to the range to shoot with an NRA instructor.
In the bills that have been introduced across the United States, Some will even stop a father from lending his son a gun while on a hunting trip, and will prevent you from taking a friend to the range and sharing your firearm.
We support National Instant Check which has been around since 1998. We DO NOT support a universal background check that requires records of firearm purchasers with the person’s name and address and the make, model and serial number of the firearms purchasing to be kept in a National data base. This type of registration was used before in Germany in the 1930’s.
I would like to invite everyone and anyone who would like to know who the NRA is and what they stand for to come to Houston Texas, the first week in May to our annual meeting to see what the NRA is all about. The meeting and show is for the entire family.
God Bless America
We will be closed tomorrow – Good Friday – from noon until 3PM. Please schedule your trip to our store accordingly. Happy Easter!
Since the tragic shootings in Aurora, Colorado and Sandy Hook, Ct., there has been a surge in anti-gun legislation, rushed by anti-gun legislators that are trying to take advantage of this horrible tragedy to push their agenda.
Federal and State legislators are pushing bills that would have not prevented a mentally ill person from shooting people in a gun free zone. The bills that they have intended are to disarm American’s that have; the legal right to own firearms. Most of these bills are not gun control, but rather people control.
Our founding fathers have recognized our freedoms and rights granted by our creator when they wrote the Declaration of Independence, Constitution and Bill of Rights. Through the years our rights and freedoms have been attacked many times. We are under attack again. And all that believe in our God given rights must come together and fight for our freedoms.
A few years ago, we had the pleasure of traveling to Israel. While there, we went to the Holocaust museum in Jerusalem. Hundreds of people were there, but as you walked through you could hear a pin drop everything was so quiet. One of the displays on the Warsaw Ghetto, there were 3 pistols on display; a Luger, a P38 and a Polish Radom all very well used. The sign under the guns said ‘Too Little, Too Late.’ When we finished the tour and went back on the bus, a man came on and was talking to the two women sitting in front of us. He asked them, “did you learn anything in there?”
One of the women replied, “what were we suppose to learn?”
He replied, “This cannot happen in America, because we have a Second Amendment that allows all citizens to have firearms.”
We must make sure our Second Amendment stays in place.
We must teach our children moral values as they grow if we are to remain the greatest country on earth. We have taken God out of our schools because of a Supreme Court decision. Our forefathers never intended separation of church and state; their only intent was that the Government not to establish a state religion. If people were raised learning the Ten Commandments, we would have a much safer country.
We must remember to Vote Freedom First and we must remember in November how our legislators vote on firearms bills. Our freedom is only lost when we give up. And I will never give up. God Bless America and remember in November.
