Hi Folks, We here at Bob’s would to thank you all once again for the emails, and Facebook messages. We are working as hard as we can to get everything up and running as soon as we can. BUT, as you know, this takes time. We are currently meeting with contractors and still involved into the cleanup process. Once the cleanup is complete we will begin to rebuild. We will keep you posted as more information becomes available.
WE ALL APPRECIATE YOUR SUPPORT VERY MUCH!
As many of you are already aware, we suffered a significant setback yesterday when our indoor pistol range caught fire. It is a sad situation, but we are determined to move forward and become fully operational again as quickly as possible.
You can find more information here: Out From the Ashes
Here you go, everyone! The final results of the 2013 Pistol League. Congratulations to the winners!
I would like to rebut the Trenton Editorial from the Trenton Times on the NRA.
The writer of the editorial does not understand the NRA or the school safe guards they are supporting.
If armed security is not safe for our children, why are armed agents always with the President?
We have armed guards in Banks and Malls and armed police in our community because they do prevent crime. Why not protect our children also.
Over 90% of the mass shootings in recent years have been in ‘gun free’ zones. And the shooting only stops when a ‘good guy’ with a gun shows up. (Good guys with guns DO save lives).
The NRA has many programs that support firearm safety. They train instructors in all types of shooting disciplines’ and safety in the home. The Eddie Eagle program teaches, “If you see a gun, DON’T TOUCH, LEAVE THE AREA, tell an adult.” They also have NRA day for clubs to show anyone interested in the shooting sports the safe and proper way to do it. Anyone attending is given a gun safety course before they go to the range to shoot with an NRA instructor.
In the bills that have been introduced across the United States, Some will even stop a father from lending his son a gun while on a hunting trip, and will prevent you from taking a friend to the range and sharing your firearm.
We support National Instant Check which has been around since 1998. We DO NOT support a universal background check that requires records of firearm purchasers with the person’s name and address and the make, model and serial number of the firearms purchasing to be kept in a National data base. This type of registration was used before in Germany in the 1930’s.
I would like to invite everyone and anyone who would like to know who the NRA is and what they stand for to come to Houston Texas, the first week in May to our annual meeting to see what the NRA is all about. The meeting and show is for the entire family.
God Bless America
We will be closed tomorrow – Good Friday – from noon until 3PM. Please schedule your trip to our store accordingly. Happy Easter!
