On 9/11 we mourn the loss of almost 3000 Americans killed by terrorists that crashed 2 planes into the World Trade Center in NYC and a 3rd that crashed into the Pentagon in Virginia. A short time later, a 4th plane, flight 93 crashed near Shanksville, PA.
Our founding fathers knew what it took to keep our nation safe and free. They wrote our constitution and bill of rights. The 2nd Amendment to our bill of rights states:
“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”
On flight 93, the passengers formed a militia as they flew over Pennsylvania, however they were denied their right to bear arms and they were forced to resort to kitchen utensils and fire extinguishers. They defeated the terrorists and the plane crashed in rural Pennsylvania rather than the intended target of Washington, DC.
Those people are true American heroes and should always be remembered as such.
If the right to keep and bear arms had not been denied, and any police military or citizen with a legal carry permit been on any of the planes on 9/11, the story may be completely different.
We must work to restore our nation to the vision of our founding fathers.
God Bless America.
